Local activities in and around East Lothian
The cottage is not only set in the beautiful East Lothian countryside, but is also close to a wide variety of local activities, which are all only a short distance away.
Golf
Daffodil Cottage is close to many wonderful golf courses including Archerfield, Renaissance, North Berwick, Gullane, Luffness, Kilspindie and Craiglielaw.
Walking and Cycling
The cottage is perfectly situated for walks and cycling, from the front door. There is a shed where you can store your bikes.
Wildlife
Daffodil Cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside and beaches, and close to John Muir Country Park and Aberlady Bay Nature Reserve.
Family Fun
There are many local attractions for all ages! Popular with children are East Links Family Park, Foxlake Adventures with wake boarding, ropes courses and zip trails and Fort Douglas Adventure Park at Restoration Yard.
Museums and Culture
Local suggestions include: The Scottish Seabird Centre, The Museum of Flight, Myreton Motor Museum, John Muir’s Birthplace, Preston Mill, Tantallon Castle, Dirleton Castle and boat trips around the Bass Rock.
Edinburgh suggestions: Edinburgh Castle, Royal Yachht Britannia, National Museum of Scotland, Arthur’s Seat, The Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace, Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and Greyfriars Bobby.

Fletchers Spa at Archerfield, is an award-winning and highly recommend spa offering a range of treatments.
Local Food and Drink
There are some wonderful restaurants and cafes near to Daffodil Cottage, and we are happy to make recommendations. Local favourites include The Bonnie Badger in Gullane, and Steampunk Cafe in North Berwick.
